Louise Bourgeois (1911 - 2010) was an U.S.A. artist and sculptor with french origin.
They are famous her wonderful sculptures and installations, instead the production of textile works is almost unknown.
On the Moma website i found pictures of this piece, "Ode à l'oubli", a beautiful book with cloth which she had carried in 2002, with tissues preserved during her lifetime, including pieces of nightgowns, scarves and towels from wedding trousseau, monogrammed with her initials.
Louise Bourgeois spent her childhood immersed into fabrics: her family business of tapestry restoration.
