WHIMSICAL PORTRAITS WITH WASTE OF TOYS INTO CRAZY ASSEMBLIES BY FREYA JOBBINS

Freya Jobbins is a sculptor who lives and works near Sydney, Australia. The crazy and fun assemblies by Freya are inspired by the portraits of famous Giuseppe Arcimboldo's  masterpieces, with the modernity of "Toy Story"; bizarre anthropomorphic busts and portraits made using an unconventional material, waste plastic toys. An artistic research that investigates the relationship between consumerism and the culture of recycling. It's crazy the incredible amount of work required in each of his works, from the exploration of form and the use of color to make each  anatomical fusion, with amazing and bizarre surfaces.
